Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 11, 2026

ME Shield Financial Services is a DBA of ME Shield Group LLC (“ME Shield,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit our website, contact us, request a quote, schedule a consultation, submit a review, use our client portal, or receive our services.

1. Information we collect

We may collect contact information, service interests, appointment details, messages, testimonials, and information necessary to provide an agreed service. Depending on the service, this may include financial, tax, insurance, health-related, household, business, identification, or immigration-document information.

We may also receive limited technical information needed to operate and secure the website, such as browser type, device information, pages visited, approximate location, performance data, and security logs. If you choose to allow location access while completing an electronic signature, the Client Portal may record location information with the signature to help document when and where it was provided. You may decline location access and use another available signing method.

Do not send Social Security numbers, tax returns, immigration records, medical records, payment information, or other sensitive documents through our general contact form, website chatbot, ordinary text message, or unsecured email. We will identify the appropriate client portal or transmission method when sensitive information is required.

2. How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, schedule consultations, provide requested services, prepare authorized quotes or filings, communicate about active services, maintain business and compliance records, protect the website, prevent fraud or abuse, improve our services, and comply with applicable legal, regulatory, carrier, tax, and government requirements.

3. How we disclose information

When reasonably necessary for a requested service, we may disclose information to insurance carriers and agencies; tax software and authorized e-file providers; government filing agencies; and providers that support hosting, email delivery, scheduling, communications, client portals, cloud storage, workflow automation, spreadsheets and business records, security, analytics, payments, and business operations. These providers may include Cloudflare, our email-delivery provider, and workflow-automation providers used to route or record a request. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect legal rights or safety, or in connection with a business reorganization or transfer.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not sell or share telephone numbers or SMS consent information with third parties for their independent marketing.

4. Cookies, security tools, and website analytics

We do not currently use advertising cookies, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar behavioral advertising technologies.

Our website uses Cloudflare for hosting, performance, security, and privacy-focused website analytics. Cloudflare Web Analytics collects limited performance and traffic measurements and is designed not to track individual visitors across websites or collect visitors’ personal data. Cloudflare may use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary to provide security, manage traffic, prevent malicious activity, or operate requested website functions.

We may use Google Search Console and other search-engine optimization tools to understand how the website appears in search results. These tools do not place advertising cookies on the website through our current implementation.

If we add advertising, behavioral analytics, or other nonessential cookies, we will update this Policy and provide any notice or choice required by applicable law.

5. Text messages and email

If you provide appropriate consent, we may call, text, or email you about your inquiry or requested service. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP and may ask us to stop nonessential emails. Consent to marketing is not a condition of purchasing a service.

Service emails may include authentication links, status notices, receipts, or a copy of information you asked us to send. Email is not guaranteed to be completely secure. We will not intentionally include sensitive documents in ordinary email unless you request or authorize that delivery method; when a secure portal option is available, we encourage you to use it.

6. ME Shield Client Portal and sensitive information

When sensitive information is required, clients may be directed to the separate ME Shield Client Portal. The Client Portal uses Cloudflare infrastructure, including Cloudflare R2 for document and file storage and Cloudflare Workers KV for client profiles, portal sessions, intake submissions, service requests, and related structured portal data. Cloudflare D1 may support separate customer-relationship or business-operation records. Other providers may support authentication, email delivery, workflow automation, security, payments, or portal operation when necessary.

The Client Portal supports electronic signatures. An electronic signature, its date and time, related form information, and optional location information may be stored as part of the applicable service record.

Clients should use only the Client Portal or another transmission method we specifically identify for sensitive records. Access to portal information is limited according to operational need. Information stored through the Client Portal remains subject to the security, retention, disclosure, and deletion provisions described in this Policy.

7. Security and data retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information involved. No website, portal, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and document services, maintain required tax, insurance, government-filing, and business records, meet legal and contractual requirements, resolve disputes, and protect against fraud. Retention periods vary by service and record type. When information is no longer reasonably required, we take reasonable steps to delete, destroy, or de-identify it, subject to technical limitations and lawful backup or recordkeeping requirements.

8. Your choices and requests

Subject to applicable law and recordkeeping obligations, you may ask us to provide information about personal information we maintain about you, correct inaccurate information, delete information we are not required to retain, or stop nonessential marketing. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

9. Children’s privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the website. Information concerning a minor that is necessary for a family service must be provided by or with the authorization of a parent or legal guardian.

10. Third-party websites

Our website may link to social-media, appointment, insurance, carrier, tax, government, or other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our services, technology, or obligations. The revised version will be posted with a new “Last updated” date.
